Olympic Refugee Team

According to a report by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the number of refugees (displaced persons) worldwide exceeded 60 million for the first time in history at the end of 2015. In March 2016 the International Olympic Committee formed "Team Refugee Olympic Athletes." Ten athletes, six men and four women competed as part of Team ROA. In 2018 it was expanded to include other stories about refugee athletes.
