| Event Description |
Recruiting and retaining quality teachers continues to be a challenge for schools in the current market. Suffolk is not alone in trying to address this through new approaches and Teach Suffolk is working with schools to develop initiatives to help promote teaching careers in Suffolk. This work is supported and partially funded through Raising the Bar. This first Teacher Recruitment event brings together a range of speakers to help schools and governors understand what is going on in the teacher recruitment market; approaches to attracting teachers including recruiting overseas and social media; routes into teacher training; and case studies from Suffolk schools on attracting and retaining teachers. There will be opportunities to network, speak to exhibitors from the sector and share good practice, plus workshop sessions on key topics. |
