We thought the reborn 935 looked pretty good when Porsche revealed it almost a year ago, decked out in white with Martini racing stripes (and neon red wheels to match). Then the German automaker showed off a slate of other liveries available to those customers fortunate enough to get their hands on one. But this could be the best-looking one yet.

Showcased on Porsche's Facebook page are fresh images of the new 935, exposed for all the world to see in bare carbon fiber. And we're both scandalized and tantalized by the sight of it.

The new 935, for those unfamiliar, is essentially a GT2 RS – already the most hardcore version of the 911 – that's been rebodied in tribute to one of Porsche's most legendary sports racers, and tuned just for the track. Sort of like the FXX-K was to LaFerrari, or the GTR version is to the McLaren Senna, only with a delicious dose of retro thrown in.

Motivation comes in the form of the same 3.8-liter twin-turbo boxer-six as the GT2 RS, kicking out 690 horsepower to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The carbon-fiber bodywork you see exposed here makes it even lighter, though, and the track-focused suspension, rolling stock, brakes, and other components ensure that it'll out-lap even the Nordschleife -conquering 911 GT2 RS on which it's based, and the previously revealed GT2 RS Clubsport.

Tempting as the throwback liveries previously showcased may appear, seeing the new 935 sitting there naked makes us wonder if at least one of the 77 customers won't go for the exposed treatment. After all, when you're shelling out over $800k for a track toy, you should be able to get it just the way you want.
