For the to-do list

* The programs. They are available online (click HERE). Often, there are paper copies around the mutuel’s area.

* Watch the races for a greyhound that catches your eye. Take note of the name and what you noticed. I found that it should be done right away – the schooling races move along pretty fast.

* Take note of break, rush to the corner and closing ability. Also, see if there are bumps and if the dog recovers well.

* Watch for the next time the greyhound runs. See what’s the same and different. Does the dog like outside, inside or mid-track?

* Go to Track Info (http://www.trackinfo.com/). Click on the greyhound tab and choose virtual kennel. Sign up and enter the dogs you’re interested in. You’ll get an email.

* Repeat the process, adding dogs, information and results. Check out the Mystique YouTube page (click HERE) for film review.

The schoolers can help you with the handicapping. Watch them and use the information in your handicapping.

* Bluffs Run forces out its tri super today. The carryover is $172.

* Aqueduct has its $250,000 guaranteed late pick 4 Saturday afternoon.

Stakes

* Jacksonville hosts the finals of the James J. Patton Silver Cup Saturday night.

* Palm Beach hosts the fourth round of the Bob Balfe Puppy Stakes Sunday afternoon.

* Keeneland has the Maker’s 46 Mile today. On Saturday, it has the Blue Grass, Jenny Wiley and Shakertown. It wraps up with the Beaumont on Sunday.

* Hawthorne’s super high 5 is $13,735.
