Illegal drugs have been established as a gigantic scourge/plague on this Earth. There isn't a town, city, or county in New Jersey or in the United States that is immune to this diabolic and disastrous drug infestation.

Shocking, verifiable and factual evidence indicates there are more drug addicts in the United States than in all other western nations combined, raising rates of addiction after World War II, notably among young people.

Therefore, there is an infinite and high demand for illegal drugs to be supplied from all corners of the Earth. The largest suppliers of drugs are international cartels and independent producers solely in business for making money at the highest return on their illegitimate investments.

A drug cartel is a well organized and sophisticated criminal group of people that corrupts, extorts, and bribes citizens and public officials of all branches of government to obtain their objectives. Also, they will torture or murder anybody who interferes in the operations of their clandestine business.

Cartels control the growing of drugs in secretive farms above the ground under camouflage netting from aerial observation, and they will also grow drugs in their own hidden laboratories  for packaging and distribution.

The drug distribution system employed by international cartels is recognized as ingenious, intelligent, and innovative. For delivery over water, they employ high-speed motor boats that easily can out race the U.S Coast Guards' boats to complete their mission. Rogue pilots and their planes, hired by the cartel, will make designated parachute drops of drugs, and most recently drone drops of drugs, mostly under the cover of darkness in remote areas for pick up.

One of the most interesting delivery methods of drugs is the hiring of mules. Mules are people of all ages, sex, and backgrounds. They will attempt to deliver drugs on their body or within their bodies, or in their luggage in inconspicuous places. The consequences are grave for these people, such as loss of employment, reputation, jail sentences, and a heavy fine or death. There seems to be no deterrent because there is still a constant supply of recruits looking to make fast and easy money. This is reminiscent of the old proverb, "Money is the root of all evil."

The most popular drugs that are in demand and on the black market are: cocaine, crack heroin, opium, morphine, marijuana, etc. Prescription drugs are another source containing an opiate available in pil form and, today, is the leading source of drug addiction.

Once a person experiences this euphoric fascination, there is an unrelenting desire and demand by his mental and physical being, which causes a drug addiction. Unfortunately, addictive drugs render any person incapable of working, earning a living, or any function of everyday living. To stay alive, that person resorts to a life of crime in order to support or maintain his daily drug habit which results in a tormenting sickness and eventually death. Most of all, the loss of a young son or daughter is traumatic and devastating, never to be forgotten for the rest of their lives, by their parents, friends, and relatives.

Early this spring, mayors and public officials from towns and cities of New England stated that drug dealers, smugglers, and runners have infiltrated the entire population.

In the spring of 2015, the New Hampshire U.S Attorney and the states' attorney general formed a task force to pursue the sale of opiates that resulted in fatal overdoses. So far, 56 cases are being investigated in New Hampshire.

Recent reporters from Ohio indicated the same pattern and operation of drug dealers are pervasive throughout that state. Drug addicts are the highest numbers ever, and crimes tied to drugs have risen and disrupted the socio-economic status and have strained the states' financial budget.

In many states, including New Jersey, Ohio, and Maine, authorities are grappling with an alarming surge of opiate abuse and are filing involuntary homicide death charges against the drug dealers.

In New Hampshire, drug related deaths have soared from 163 in 2012 to a projection of 478 this year. In the year 2015, approximately 28,000 overdose drug deaths were reported in the United States

The "Founding Fathers" didnt envision a new America of druggies and pot heads. They believed in a nation of law-abiding Americans, of equal quality and justice, who supported and defended the United States Constitution including the Bill of Rights.

Therefore, a mandatory comprehensive "Awareness and Prevention of Drug Addiction" must be instituted in all grade schools, high schools, and colleges, if not already established. Destroy the young people of a nation, and you will destroy the future of a nation.

If you see something, say something! Support your police department at every level of government. God Bless America!
