Learn about British culture: Now on display in Room 29 at the National Portrait Gallery, you’ll find Inspiring Photographs: Collecting for the Future. Exactly what it says on the tin, the compilation of photographs by individuals who are making contributions to Britain and the world, wants to question British identity, who we are and how portraiture represents us. A real highlight is the shot by renowned photographer, Miles Aldridge of Maisie Williams.

Get down and dirty at the Boiler Room Festival: Held over four days, this event is hosted in Peckham's Copeland Park in South London and focusses on four different genres of music: jazz, rap, bass and club to suit your vibe.

Explore the works of Mona Hatoum: The Palestinian multimedia and installation artist is showing her latest body of work at White Cube gallery in Bermondsey until 3rd November. Entitled, Remains To Be Seen it is the outing of her work in London since Tate Modern three years ago. Expect installation, sculpture and works on paper.

Enjoy some art and join a supper club: Friend duo Jenny Barcelos and Anna Beketov are throwing their curated exhibition Feasting on Femininity at Les Fêtes Galantes in East London on the 17th October. The exhibition will feature the work of both established and emerging artists all working on themes of opulence, femininity, and feasting. The visual feast will be accompanied by a series of supper clubs whipped up by exciting chefs, who will curate bespoke menus inspired by each work in the show. Fancy.
