4 Benefits to Using Microsoft Office 365

By now, I'm sure, you're all fully aware of what Microsoft office is. In fact, you probably use one of their many programs to help you out at work and at home. Whether it's Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Online Exchange, Onedrive -- the possibilities are near limitless. Microsoft Office 365 is an online, hosted version of all these programs. Instead of having to make a large purchase and install a lot of programs on your computer which can take up a lot of memory, you can pay a small monthly fee and have access to all the same power. It's a win-win. In case you're still not convinced, here is a top four list of benefits to using Microsoft Office 365:

Remote Work

Because of the fact that Office 365 is entirely cloud based, you can work from anywhere! No longer will you have to wake up early, shower, eat breakfast in your car on the drive to work. Now you can work from home! (We won't tell anyone you're working in your pajamas!)

Collaboration

If provided access, anyone can work collaboratively via Office 365. This can be beneficial for two different reasons: 1) anyone can work together. This is useful for international work/ cross-country work, or even if an employee is out of the office for the day, and; 2) you can see who the last person was to edit a file, so accountability is 100%. You will know who is working and how much they're working, what they did and when.

Updates

Because Office 365 is a subscription based product, you can be 100% sure that you're always using the most up-to-date version of these programs. No more missing out on features, or dealing with formatting issues because someone used 2016 Excel and you have 2018.

Security

The Microsoft Office suite has a number of different built in security features to help keep you, your data, and your business safe and secured. To name just a few of these features would include: data loss prevention, encrypted email, and mobile device management.

Way to go Elijah! You have made all great points about Office 365. And I think it is intuitive for business of any size to use. Plus its Teams app allows collaboration with external users so much easier!

Thanks Elijah! We use 365 at my work but even this little bit of insight shows we could be using it better.
