PennDOT is urging motorists to get real time interstate and major expressway conditions during the coming snowstorm at www.511pa.com or by dialing 511.
The National Weather Service is calling for two to four inches of snow overnight through Monday afternoon.
PennDOT’s District 8 Incident Command Center, which covers the midstate, was activated at 6 tonight.
The ICC helps provide oversight, situational awareness and coordinating among its corresponding counties and communicates with area command covering a broad area across Central Pennsylvania, said Greg Penny, spokesman for the District 8 office.
Speed limits could be reduced on interstates and major expressways as a safety measure during the storm should conditions warrant it, Penny said.
