Surprise at the Kano Government House on Wednesday as worshipers who gathered to pray for the speedy recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari received his call.
The Kano State Government had organised a special prayer for quick recovery and safe return of President Muhammadu Buhari which was attended by members of the State House of Assembly, Chairmen of the 44 local governments in the state and members of the Kano Emirate Council.
As Ganduje started his remarks at the prayer session, one of his aides handed over a cell phone to him even as those present at the event expressed surprise to hear the voice of the President.
Many people who gathered for the prayer session burst into tears as soon as they heard the President’s voice while some were relieved to hear his voice.
Buhari was quoted telling the congregation that he is well and appreciate them all for their efforts.
Shortly after the telephone conversation with the President, Ganduje said there was nothing more to pray for as Buhari’s call was a reflection that Allah had answered their prayers.
