AXIS Says:

After its introduction three years ago, the Division gained popularity amongst riders looking for a more comfortable and flexible board for all conditions. The medium FAT rail, new rocker, new tips and bottom channels make the Division our most complete board for all conditions and riding styles. We also added a 140×43 which should become a favorite among riders who want to play with boots or straps on the same board, as well as bigger riders or lighter winds.

Tkb Says:

The AXIS Division  had the most flex in the AXIS lineup of 2017 boards tested this year. The  amount of control and tracking you find in the Vanguard and Limited make them slightly more adept for performance freestyle, whereas edge to edge carving and playful cruising may be the province of the Liberty and Division.  The Division features a fairly flat rocker underfoot and rocker in the tips, a subtle concave in the center and a solid channel in the tips with a subtle reverse batwing outline. With 4.0 fins and tail channels,  the Division tracks well through the chop – testers found it to be user friendly for setting an edge and going upwind. This board’s flex puts it on the playful side but it still yields a fairly locked in feel when you put it on edge. The Division’s flatter rocker also helps you fly through underpowered lulls and it’s overall weight is average for an entry level board. The board’s softer flex pattern will feel good for progressing riders that are wrapping their head around the art of load and pop.

The Division comes with three stance width options and a series of holes for adjusting stance duck. This strap and pad system features a single Velcro adjustment strap which is comfortable and gives you fairly good coverage for just one adjustment. The footbeds feature AXIS’ tried and true rubber footpads with its comfortable and grippy rubber pattern that keeps your foot cemented in the binding through more exciting moves.
