A Spring Hill couple is celebrating 70 years of marriage.

Even after seven decades of marriage, Lawrence and Rosemary Padron will still steal a kiss. When they said "I do," they meant it.

“It was forever, forever." Lawrence said. "Whatever day God takes us. That has always been in our minds.”

The old pictures and the photo albums are the proof. They have been married for 70 years.

“Tonight I’m going to ask her if she will give me another 70 years," Lawrence said. "I know we won’t live that long but I will live another 70 years with her. Without a doubt.”

They have been side by side the whole time. They started dating in 1941 and got married in 1943 when they were 17.

They have known each other since they were younger than that growing up in Key West. Lawrence knew he was going to marry Rosemary since the fifth grade.

Life hasn’t always been easy. They lost their oldest son and now Rosemary is dealing with Alzheimer’s disease.

"That sickness is real hard on the family and hard on me too," Lawrence said. "I devote my life to that now.”

Lawrence and Rosemary have five kids, 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. They say the secret to a long marriage is never going to bed mad at each other.
