State-of-the-art customer management key ingredient of operating Leisure businesses profitably.

Skywalker Adventure Builders, the Dutch specialist for the design and construction of outdoor adventure high ropes, today introduced its new and extended service portfolio, now also including integrated customer management for commercial outdoor leisure centres.

"We know that many businesses operating in the Outdoor Leisure & Recreation sector struggle to process high volume gate admission and the large number of advance bookings during the lucrative summer months effectively," explains Ewout van Voorst, Managing Director of Skywalker Adventure Builders. "The resulting backlog also tends to affect all other administrative procedures down the line, which, in turn, often leads to a significant loss of revenue."

According to van Voorst, the company's decision to include online booking software in their service portfolio from now on has been nothing but a logical consequence of what the Dutch ropes course designer has already been offering to its business customers. "For many years, we've been advising our customers in the Leisure & Recreation sector on business strategies, IT and HR," van Voorst points out. "Means, we are now in a position to support clients who operate forest high-wire parks, zipline's and other types of outdoor leisure facilities even further, by helping them with the seamless integration of frontend automation systems, such as online booking software, into the existing infrastructure of their businesses."

These days, the possibility to purchase admission tickets online scores very high with customers all across the board. "Fact is that visitors nowadays expect to be able to buy their tickets online. Any businesses that does not offer online purchase loses out," explains van Voorst. "And you can't blame customers – after all, no one wants to spend most of their spare time queuing for tickets."

When it comes to park operators, offering online booking provides a whole range of advantages. "Adventure parks, High Ropes Courses and outdoor theme parks can offer multiple parallel purchase facilities to their visitors in addition to gate admission on the day," says van Voorst. "Think advance sales over the phone, by email and through various other online channels - for example, through the company website in conjunction with an internet payment provider. Furthermore, any state-of-the-art online booking software also handles payment processing as well as the entire downstream accounting process which significantly reduces staff costs. And the risk of double bookings is basically reduced to zero."

"In this context, we have assessed the latest frontend automation software as part of integrated customer management strategies," continues Van Voorst. "In particular systems which are already used by various adventure park operators. Means we are now offering a wide range of online booking systems by various software companies as part of our services that also include expert advice on how to smoothly implement these systems, all of which tailored to the specific requirements of our client's business."
