Relentlessly pursuing a diverse culture

Everyone and every moment matters. It’s a value that guides us to be intentional about diversity, equity, and inclusion. While we’re still on our journey—our focus remains unwavering.

Kimberly Moore-Wright

Chief teammate officer and head of enterprise diversity

“Diversity doesn’t make an impact if teammates don’t feel seen, valued, or heard. It’s so important to create an inclusive environment so that all teammates can thrive. Everyone matters and should have access to all we can offer them.”

Dominica Groom

Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer

“Diversity exists in many forms, including demographics, backgrounds, skillsets, personal interests, and more.  It is important for everyone to embrace differences and always remain open to sharing, learning, and expanding our perspectives, regardless of our individual experiences.”

We are Truist. Founded as a purpose driven company, we are changing the financial services industry. We believe change starts on the inside, by radically caring for each other and bringing a human touch to everything we do, from designers to technologists, financial experts to relationship managers. We are re-imagining how a bank looks, feels, and acts. We push beyond the expected, re-thinking every part of the client experience. We remove barriers, boldly re-defining what a work environment can be.

We foster growth, investing in every teammate regardless of title.

[UPBEAT MUSIC]

We reward innovation, recognizing individuals whose ideas inspire change. We listen and give back, providing teammates the opportunity to get involved and to grow the places they call home. We start with empathy, inspiring everyone to bring their whole self to work. Together, we re-define better every day by authentically caring for our teammates, clients, and communities.

Join us. Be a part of the change.

We offer many unique opportunities for teammates to connect with our purpose, mission, and values, and we encourage teammate engagement.

  • All teammates are welcome to join any of our eight Business Resource Groups (BRGs) to build greater awareness of—and appreciation for—different perspectives and experiences.
  • We host listening sessions to gather feedback and foster candid and courageous conversations across all job levels and roles.
  • The Accommodations Team works closely with teammates to consider diverse abilities, backgrounds, and experiences when building or enhancing processes and platforms.
  • Training is available to all teammates to reinforce the foundations of inclusivity. Additional training opportunities are available to managers, including addressing bias, cultural competencies, coaching, and how to develop and recruit diverse talent.

Empowering clients. Building better communities.

All people and communities should have an equal opportunity to thrive. So we’re actively addressing the needs of our communities to help everyone achieve more.

  • Truist committed $100 Million in investment capital to the Sterling Capital Diverse Multi-Manager Active ETF—an equity ETF managed by sub-advisers that are majority diverse-owned.
  • Truist Foundation created Where It Starts, a $22 million multiyear program that strengthens small businesses and opens career pathways for ethnically-diverse individuals and entrepreneurs.
  • In our Homers for Hank program with the Atlanta Braves, we donate $755 to the Henry Louis Aaron Fund for every home run Braves players hit through the 2025 season. Those funds provide scholarships for HBCU students, career development programs for students and alumni, and other initiatives in honor of Hank Aaron's legacy.
  • We’re focused on diverse supplier inclusion—and we’ve been recognized for that commitment as a National Minority Supplier Development Council’s Forefront 50 Corporation, National Business Inclusion Consortium’s Best-of-the-Best Award for Corporate Inclusion, and winner of multiple awards from the Greater Women’s Business Council.
  • Over 700 multicultural branches help us to properly serve the many cultures and languages of ethnically diverse communities within our footprint.
  • Truist Foundation awarded a $15.7 million grant to the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL), which will build education to-career pathways for adult learners. The grant will also launch Where It Starts: Build Better Careers—a six-year initiative for underserved communities in Miami, Memphis, and Charlotte to create more career paths in underrepresented professions and industries—like financial services.

Tier2 Program for Diverse Supplier Inclusion

Truist’s Tier2 program further enhances the value that diverse suppliers can bring to our supply chain when direct sourcing with these vendors is not an option. Truist strongly encourages its strategic suppliers to subcontract with qualified certified diverse suppliers in the performance of their primary contractual obligations. To report your Tier2 spend, please log in hereto report your Tier2 spend..

Standing up for equity

At Truist, we believe there’s no place for hatred, racism, or bias. We’re committed to advancing equity, respect, safety, and justice.
