PCX Aerosystems, a Newington-based manufacturer of rotorcraft and fixed-wing aerospace components, has acquired a Manchester company that produces aerospace transmission assemblies, gearboxes and flight components, and provides repair services.
Timken Aerospace Drive Systems will be rebranded as PCX Aerosystems – Manchester LLC, PCX said in its announcement.
PCX, which is owned by private equity firm Greenbriar Equity Group L.P., provides direct delivery to customers including Boeing, General Electric Aircraft Engines, Bell, Sikorsky and the federal government. The company was founded in 1900 and owns facilities in California and Massachusetts, along with Connecticut.
PCX Aerosystems announced in September that it had acquired California-based aerospace engineer and manufacturer NuSpace Inc. In April, it bought Honematic Machine Corp. in Massachusetts.
