Bowling Green and Warren County students today got a chance to learn what a career in law and law enforcement would look like.

The initiative known as 'Legal Diversity Pipeline Project' addresses something many say is an issue in the field -- the lack of diversity.

Several in the field of law discussed the education needed for each career and what the work is like a daily basis.

"Today we're really letting the kids explore all the different roles that are so important to making the system work, and letting them know that they're opportunities," said Rebecca Simpson, Partner at English, Lucas, Priest & Owsley, LLP (ELPO), a law firm in Bowling Green.

Students got to visit courtrooms, tour the jail and have discussions with judges and attorneys.

The project is put on by the ELPO law firm and has been going on throughout the school year with classroom sessions.
