3 local athletes qualify for N.J. Special Olympics Summer Games

Three local athletes qualified for the New Jersey Special Olympics Summer Games with their performances in Saturday's regional event at Hackettstown High School.

Meghan Brauss, 28 of Lopatcong Township, won gold in the 100 meter run, 100 meter walk and turbo javelin.

Raymond C. Patt, 36 of Phillipsburg, got silver in the 400 meter walk and bronze in the 100 meter walk.

Justin Reynolds, 32 of Hope Township, earned a silver in the 400 meter walk and fourth place in the 100 meter walk.

They will compete in the state's summer games on June 10-12 at the College of New Jersey in Ewing Township.
