Barcelona Or Real Madrid? I’ve No Preference Says Neymar

Friday, 8th March, 2013

Neymar insists he does not have a preference when it comes to choosing between Barcelona and Real Madrid.

The Brazilian striker is wanted by both Spanish giants, although recently it has seemed that it is Barcelona who are firmly in the driving seat.
Despite the intense interest Neymar has so far remained in his homeland with Santos however.

And the striker has consistently stated he wants to see out his contract with the club, which runs until 2014.
As to the question of where he might end up, at the Bernabeu of Camp Nou, Neymar has offered no clues and expressed no preference.

"Playing in Europe remains a dream, but I do not know if it will happen soon", he was quoted as saying by Voetbal Primeur.

"I will only take a decision when I am ready. I will decide myself about my transfer, nobody else. It is purely my decision.

"When I feel that I must leave, I’ll go right away. But if I want to stay for another five years, I’ll leave only in five years.

"I have no preference [for either Barcelona or Real Madrid]. Both are great clubs worldwide, who enjoy great respect.

"They each have their own history and great players."

Neymar has been tipped to star in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, after which the timing may be perfect for him to make his long-awaited move to Europe
