Finally, The Rock is coming back to Hershey

In his WWE appearances, The Rock has long revved up the crowd by grabbing the microphone and saying, "Finally ... The Rock has come back to [insert name of city]."

Dwayne Johnson, better known as "The Rock," is slated to appear at WWE's event at the Giant Center next month. It'll be his first Hershey appearance in more than 10 years.

Next month, he'll do it in Hershey. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is back in the wrestling ring (at least for a little while), and he's coming back to Hershey for the first time in a decade.

will appear at WWE's Smackdown show at the Giant Center on March 26. It'll be a TV taping for Smackdown, which airs Friday nights on the Syfy network.

Hershey has long been

. The WWE has regularly held TV events and the occasional pay-per-view in Hershey.

While The Rock has become a legit movie star in action films, he has returned to the scene where he gained stardom and is in fact the WWE heavyweight champion. He won the title at last month's "Royal Rumble" pay-per-view, beating

.

It's unclear if he's actually going to be performing in the ring or making an appearance at the Hershey show in an interview segment. TV wrestling events are often dominated by interviews to promote the pay-per-views. A WWE spokesman said it's too early to determine The Rock's role in Hershey.

The Rock's Hershey appearance comes less than two weeks before he headlines the main event of WrestleMania 29 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. So the Hershey show will no doubt be part of the build to WWE's biggest event of the year.

At WrestleMania, he'll be squaring off against

in a rematch of last year's main event.

The Rock's movie career seems as hot as ever. He's got three movies coming out this year: "Snitch," which hits theaters later this month; "G.I. Joe: Retaliation," coming in late March; and "Fast & Furious 6," due in May. The wrestling gigs are more like special appearances, with movies still being The Rock's day job.

Given his film career and his age - The Rock turned 40 last year - don't count on too many future WWE appearances in Hershey.
