- 4. App Directory Guide Get Started Contact Information: Installing Apps Web: Installing apps in HootSuite is quick and easy to do. Simply access hootsuite.com/appdirectory “Tools” from the launch bar on the left-hand side of the dashboard and Twitter: select “App Directory”. All available apps will be listed in the “Featured @HootSuite_Apps Apps” section of the popup window. Click the “Install” button for the app of your choice - you will then be prompted to add streams.
