If you’re of the mindset that high quality materials can help just about any car when it comes to interior aesthetics, then you’ll probably appreciate what Polish tuner Carlex Design did to this VW Amarok pickup truck.

Hidden behind an Ultramarine exterior is a cabin that looks more premium than it normally does. As you’re well aware, the Amarok is far from being VW’s best effort regarding comfort and quality – its strengths lie elsewhere.

Before we get into what Carlex managed to accomplish here, we’ll point out that this particular Amarok is the Aventura version, which means it’s pretty well spec’d. On-board, you’ll find features such as DAB radio, a 6.3-inch infotainment system with sat-nav, cruise control, hill start and descent control and more.

Not your usual V-Dub pickup

This version also comes with leather trim as standard, although here, things were definitely taken to greater extremes. The interior has a dual tone black and blue theme, with leather and Alcantara covering most surfaces, including some that were previously just hard plastic. The blue contrast stitching also plays an important role, visually.

As for what’s underneath the hood, that would be the VW Group’s 3.0-liter V6 TDI diesel engine, specifically the 224 PS, 550 Nm (405 lb-ft) version. In a straight line, it can take the Amarok Aventura from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.9 seconds, before maxing it out at 193 km/h (120 mph).
