The top slab creates counter space and a base for the black stone vessel sink, while the lower slab serves as storage shelf.

3. This London powder room by BLOCK Design & Build features some classic touches, such as walls covered in white subway tile and floors in black hexagon tile. To add warmth to the space, the team had a custom vanity constructed out of two stained planks of wood. Another wood touch is seen on the window ledge behind the toilet.
4. This powder room in Japan built by the team at Clasis Home also features a vanity formed from two floating slabs of wood. The slabs are gray-washed oak that complements the wall behind the sink, which is covered in gray tiles.
5. Jennifer Horstman of Lenox House Design created the midcentury-inspired wall-mounted vanity in this Minneapolis powder room. A pair of sliding doors conceals storage underneath. A rose-colored copper faucet plays off the blush-hued tiles and wall paint (Pink Moiré by Benjamin Moore).
