Art/Books

ONLINE via Zoom

An artist book is equal parts book and artwork. In this class, we’ll create art and incorporate it into two artist books. We’ll use maps as a jumping off point. We will paint, trace, tear-up, and collage with maps. We’ll practice opening up and putting aside perfectionism to make art that expresses the moment and catches us unaware! Then we’ll sew our artworks into two bindings: a basic pamphlet and a more challenging crossed-structure binding. All levels are welcome.
