Charlie Javice, founder of the fintech startup Frank, pleaded not guilty to fraud charges Monday in the Southern District of New York, where she has been accused of inflating the number of Frank’s customers to induce JPMorgan Chase to acquire the startup for $175 million.

Javice appeared by video alongside her attorney Alex Spiro of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan. Her indictment was unsealed Thursday, more than six weeks after she was arrested on a criminal complaint and subsequently released on a $2 million bond.
