KidneyMobile offers free kidney screening

KidneyMobile will offer free kidney disease screaning to Southern Illinois residents June 7, 8 and 9.

Kidney disease is a silent disease, according to Jo Sanders, health ministry coordinator at Southern Illinois Healthcare, and can cause a lot of damage before a patient knows he or she has it.

To help combat the disease, the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois is teaming up with regional Diabetes Today Resource Teams to provide free kidney and health screening. The KidneyMobile will make several stops in Southern Illinois during June and August in an effort to prevent, educate and empower those who might be at risk.
