Pascagoula's Vick Ballard will play key role for Colts against Ravens on Sunday (photos)

BALTIMORE, Maryland -- The Indianapolis Colts travel to play the Baltimore Ravens Sunday at noon in the NFL playoffs and much of the focus is expected to be on Colts' coach Chuck Pagano's return from a bout with cancer, quarterback Andrew Luck's spectacular rookie season and the final game of Baltimore linebacker legend Ray Lewis.

A report in

indicates the key to the game might be Colts rookie running back Vick Ballard, the former star at Pascagoula High School and Mississippi State University.

Ballard was a fifth-round pick in the NFL draft but he has developed into a workhorse back to complement Luck's efficient passing.

Ballard has rushed for 814 yards and two touchdowns this season on 211 carries.

The Ravens rank 20th in the NFL in rushing defense, allowing 122 yards per game on the ground.

The

also featured Ballard this week, following his role from supporting cast to leading role.

The game will be televised Sunday at noon on CBS.
