Oliver Queen experienced more than his share of tragedy when the season finale of Arrow aired earlier this week. But for star Stephen Amell, the following night was all about the triumph when fans finally got to see him run the American Ninja Warrior obstacle course.

Amell was part of the series' first ever celebrity edition episode, which kicked off NBC’s third annual Red Nose Day programming, which raises money and awareness to help children living in poverty in America and around the world. And, as you might expect from a bonafide superhero, Amell absolutely crushed it, including, yes, a run on the obstacle course's salmon ladder which in itself raised $35,000 for the charity.

"I can't think of a more fun way to raise money for Red Nose Day!" Amell posted on Facebook following the episode airing on television. "Check out my entire run! Thanks to NBC, Kacy Catanzaro & all the Ninja Warrior people. I might have to come back."

“People have always wanted to see Stephen on the show,” Matt Iseman, host of American Ninja Warrior, said ahead of the charity-themed episode's airing. “I’m an Arrow fan and when I first saw the Salmon Ladder in the Arrowcave, I thought, ‘This sonuvab–ch is a fan of Ninja Warrior!’”

Starring Stephen Amell as the Emerald Archer, Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars Emily Bett Rickards, David Ramsey, John Barrowman, Willa Holland and more.
