Autumn 2012 Make-Up Trends

IT'S always a little sad when the Fashion Weeks are over, but rounding up the make-up trends is one of the best bits of show season - and autumn/winter 2012-13 was no exception. From red lips at Thakoon and Rick Owens to paintbox-hued eyes at Anna Sui and Dries Van Noten, there was no shortage of colour on the catwalks. And with winged liner, peacock-coloured shadow and blue mascara all making an appearance, eyes were a big autumn/winter story. So whether you opt for Jean Paul Gaultier and Louis Vuitton's daring "morning-after" eyes or Michael Kors and Mulberry's pretty flushed cheeks, autumn/winter 2012-13's beauty trends should offer something for everyone.

    BIG BROWS - Nobody could ignore the bold jewelled brows at Chanel (use the magnifier tool for the full effect), whilst at Chloé they were brushed up and at Vera Wang and Missoni they were darkened and enlarged. Plus, who could forget model-of-the-moment Cara Delevingne's own generous pair?

    THE ALTERNATIVE SMOKY EYE - The smoky eye is a winter trend almost every year, but this time around we saw the look in new and interesting colourways. It was green, purple and bronze at Roberto Cavalli, grey at Diane von Furstenberg, golden brown at Burberry and emerald at Jason Wu.
