World Patient Safety Day 2020

Health Worker Safety: A Priority for Patient Safety

World Patient Safety Day 2020 is focused on Safe health workers, Safe patients. This global campaign was created in 2019 to raise awareness of patient safety and urge people to show their commitment to making health care safer.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought to the forefront the risks and challenges that health workers are facing globally, which can mean a greater chance of error leading to patient harm. This year's theme underscores the importance of both health worker and patient safety in strengthening the health care system and saving lives.
