THE LEDE: Good morning! As raids of undocumented immigrants continue throughout the city, fear is running high in immigrant communities across Brooklyn. Mayor Bill de Blasio announced at a press conference Wednesday that there have been at least eight ICE raids throughout the city — six of which have taken place in Brooklyn.

~ EL CHAPO SENTENCED TO LIFE IN PRISON PLUS 30 YEARS: The saga of convicted Mexican drug kingpin Joaquin Guzman, better known as El Chapo, finally came to an end as the leader of the Sinaloa Cartel was sentenced to life in prison — plus 30 years — in Brooklyn federal court on Wednesday morning.

~ THE BAN ON PLASTIC BAGS IS COMING. DOES IT GO FAR ENOUGH?: When New York became the third state in the country to ban plastic bags, many applauded the decision, but some believe that even stricter laws need to be implemented to further limit their use and to prevent residents from becoming equally reliant on paper bags — which come with their own set of environmental burdens.

~ IMMIGRANT COMMUNITIES FEARFUL AFTER 6 BROOKLYN RAIDS IN 5 DAYS: The Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs estimates that around127,000 of the roughly half a million undocumented New Yorkers live in Brooklyn.

~ BUSHWICK FOOD CO-OP CALLS ON NEIGHBORS TO REBUILD AFTER FIRE: A North Brooklyn food co-op is looking to rebuild after suffering damage from a fire earlier this month, launching an online fundraising effort in a bid to jump-start the recovery process.

~ CLIFFORD THE BIG RED DOG IS COMING TO BROOKLYN — BUT CAN HE FIT?: Filming for Paramount Pictures’ live-action adaptation of “Clifford the Big Red Dog” took place in Bedford-Stuyvesant this week, with crews setting up on residential blocks near Malcolm X Boulevard and in a nearby playground.

~ CANARSIE MAN WHO SHOT FBI AGENT FOUND GUILTY OF ATTEMPTED MURDER: Ronell Watson was found guilty on all counts — of attempted murder of a federal officer, assault of a federal officer and discharging a weapon in furtherance of a crime — Wednesday morning, after the jury deliberated Monday afternoon and all through Tuesday in the weeklong trial in Brooklyn federal court.
