It’s getting to be that time of year when love is most certainly in the air. Some may celebrate with a romantic night for two at a favorite Nashville restaurant while others choose to round up their best ladies for a Galentine’s night on the town. And there’s certainly no shame in getting a Valentine’s Day card and chocolate heart from Mom and Dad either – or so we’ve been told …
As a Valentine’s Day gift to you, our readers, we sought out two models that we knew all of Nashville would love. Wells Adams, radio host at 105.9 The Rock and contestant on both “The Bachelorette” and “Bachelor in Paradise,” and Jessica “Figgy” Figueroa, a contestant on “Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X,” graciously agreed to spend an afternoon with us modeling looks from shops around town.
Wardrobe consultant Rebecca Thompson selected ensembles that could work for date night and girls’ night alike, and we found some fabulous February events for showing off your new looks. Read on to see exactly what to wear to Frankie Valli’s concert with Nashville Symphony, Three Blind Vines at The Factory and A Red Carpet Evening at The Belcourt.
We shot on location at The Bridge Building, located across the river from Broadway. Wells and Figgy modeled today’s sleek looks from Johnston & Murphy, Native + Nomad, Oak Hall, Gus Mayer and H. Audrey. And they look pretty fabulous, if we do say so ourselves!
The Event: Valentine’s Day with Frankie Valli and the Nashville Symphony
- February 14 & 15
- Relive the best music from the ’60s and ’70s with the iconic Frankie Valli
- For tickets and more information, click here
What to wear: Standard attire at the Nashville Symphony is business casual, but if you want to make sure your date “can’t take his eyes off you,” we suggest kicking things up a notch. Find your new favorite blouse-skirt combo or a dynamite dress at Native + Nomad, or a timeless blazer from Johnston & Murphy.

The Event: Three Blind Vines at The Factory
- Saturday, February 18, 2017
- A party with a purpose that benefits the Old Old Jail (or as it will soon be known, the Big House for Historic Preservation) in Franklin
- For tickets and more information, click here
What to wear: We’ve always seen a mix of ensembles at Three Blind Vines and expect this year to be no exception. For events that straddle the line between business casual and cocktail, men can’t go wrong with a dark jean and blazer or chic jacket like what we found at Oak Hall. The possibilities for this event are practically endless for women, but we think this is the perfect opportunity to show off your winter white pants and a faux fur top like Figgy’s look from Gus Mayer. Falling back on the trusty staple of dark denim and a contemporary top would be equally appropriate!

The Event: Red Carpet Evening at The Belcourt
- Sunday, February 26, 2017
- An elegant evening for film fans to watch Hollywood’s biggest night at the fabulously renovated Belcourt
- For tickets and more information, click here
What to wear: Oscar predictions are out, and the race is on to see all the nominated flicks in time for Hollywood’s biggest night. Before watching the stars strut their stuff on The Belcourt’s big screen, make sure your own attire is worthy of the red carpet. Suits of all colors, styles and materials (including velvet!!) can be found at Oak Hall, while everyone can see below that H. Audrey has some of the glammest digs in town.
