MIRI: Miri Hospital is in need of O positive blood due to high demand recently.

Blood Bank assistant information officer Lily Sinta appealed to those with O positive blood to help replenish the blood stock.

“Please support us to prevent a shortage, especially O positive blood, to save lives,” she said yesterday.

In anticipation of extra demand during the upcoming Chinese New Year break, she called on more donors to go to the blood bank.

Today the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Bekenu Youth Section will hold a blood donation drive at Bekenu community hall from 9am to 12pm.

Columbia Asia Hospital Miri will hold a blood donation drive next Saturday (Jan 19) on the third floor of the hospital from 9am to 12pm, while next Sunday the Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) Organ Donor Recruitment Committee will hold a drive at Bintang Mega Mall (New Wing) from 10am to
