The place is running out of a food truck and the menu is more limited, but it's still worth a stop even with so many options in town. The food (basic dishes served over rice) are well made and flavorful. The Jamaican jerk chicken is recommended.
The owner is super friendly and was the highlight of our stop. Williams is a really nice little town and fun to explore as well.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sara S.Chatham, NJ01Apr 12, 2024
We were excited to try this after our visit to the Grand Canyon on April 9. It wasn't there!! Maybe they are on vacation!

The hospitality of the owner was phenomenal. I could not have felt more heard of my preferences, or warmly taken care of.
Rick should be the mayor of Williams because he was welcoming and genuinely proud of this charming city.
The food is plentiful and tasty. Rick takes pride in the healthy aspects of his food. Nothing is fried and his flavor profile is good, ginger forward with a touch of sweetness. Free soda too!
This is a food truck parked in a lot next to an old garage. White plastic chairs are available for eating and visiting or while waiting.
Everyone should go meet and eat here on their way to the Grand Canyon.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mark S.Waco, TX042Sep 14, 2023
The Little Chicken Spot food truck is a hidden gem in Williams. The food is exceptional, and Rick's warm, engaging love for people is phenomenal. He will be sure your preferences are noted, and you'll be well taken care of.
We ordered Chicken Quesadillas and a Creamy Jalapeno bowl and then took our meal to Sycamore Falls to "picnic." It was so delicious we returned to order more for our trip to Zion the next day.
I can't say enough about Rick. We'd go back just to spend time with him! His wife was the chef - excellent!
The Little Chicken Spot is a MUST TRY when in Williams. The food is delicious and well-priced, with generous portions. A "small" bowl would be a large portion anywhere else. Meeting the owner, Rick is one of the best things we experienced in Williams.
We didn't find Rick's Little Chicken Spot truck until our last day in Williams. Our only regret is that we didn't know about them when we arrived. If you can't find the food truck - ask! It's worth finding!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 19, 2021
If the service and food quality don't blow you away, you probably are suffering from the longhaul symptoms of COVID (loss of judgment and loss of sense of taste and smell).
Rick treat you like celebrity and the food makes you feel like royalty.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 18, 2022
The owner is awesome. Usually service is towards the end of my reviews, but the owner was so incredibly warm and welcoming, I had to start with him. We walked up a few minutes before 11:00am, only to see that the opening hours had changed to 11:30 am. Rick saw us reading the sign, opened the door, and told us to come in. He explained that he had recently changed the hours, but if we didn't mind waiting while they fired up the grill, he would be happy to serve us. We talked until more customers trickled in. We learned about how he came to live in Williams. He even took us on a tour on the neighboring Sultana. While in the Sultana, Rick gave us a history lesson. He was enthusiastic throughout. Even as business picked up, Rick made sure to check on us. This ranks up there as one of the most warm and welcoming experiences we have ever had from a dining establishment.
The positivity didn't end there. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. I swear, Rick's enthusiasm transmitted into the flavor of the food. Jamaica jerk chicken was sweet, smokey and with a bit of a kick. Chicken itself was tender; with nice char bits. That was how the chicken was for all the dishes. The red jade chicken had a sweetened tomato sauce. Hard to describe, but based off an establishment in the Phoenix area. When my youngest ordered the chicken nachos "not spicy," Rick wanted to make sure the cheese sauce wasn't too spicy. He ran to the kitchen and got my youngest a sample of cheese sauce to try. The cheese sauce wasn't "too spicy," and the nachos were ordered. My other children ordered the chicken asada fries and the green chili chicken burger. Parm fries came with the burger. All three were well topped and full of flavor. My oldest said he could eat the green chili chicken burger every day. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
All portions are huge. That goes for everything we ordered. A small on the bowls could easily be mistaken for a large.
Stubborn soda in the soda fountain! Stubborn soda is made with pure cane sugar. Vanilla cream soda and pineapple cream sodas were available.
If in Williams, The Little Chicken Spot is a must try. I'm just sorry we didn't know about them the last time we were visiting.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Chaz D.Flagstaff, AZ137114361Dec 16, 2021
The Little Chicken Spot of Williams AZ is an unsuspecting gem in this town. I stopped by one day after we visited the vet and decided to give the place a try. I'm super glad we did. The owner was there and he was super nice and I would honestly come back just for how great he was.
FOOD: I ordered the Katsu Teriyaki Chicken plate (SMALL SIZE), and was super impressed by how much food was brought out. The owner said that a small was more than enough, and I feel like that was the most honest statement I've ever heard from a mom and pop shop. The chicken was delicious and the teriyaki sauce was super flavorful. The cooked veggies sealed the deal as well.
SERVICE: As I stated above the owner of the place was there the day I stopped by. He was extremely kind and helpful, and the chef is fantastic.
OVERALL: The Little Chicken Spot is a MUST TRY place in Williams. This place will pack a punch for your meal and is really affordable. I would highly recommend giving it a try.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sep 12, 2021
Okay. Well. This is awkward.
Owner, you are so friendly and treat your customers like kings. Kings you also happen to be friends with. It was such a pleasant experience to be welcomed into your shop.
But our food was... shockingly bad. So bad that it wouldn't have made a difference had we asked you to make us something else, because it was clearly not an isolated error.
Our dishes (Jamaican jerk and spicy garlic chickens, respectively) were SO simultaneously salty and sugary that it wiped out my taste buds for the remainder of the day. Just burned them right off. It was like drinking a Southern sweet tea after pouring Dead Sea water into it. And the rice was a mess of soggy lumps drenched in sauce. We sought in vain to try and find some vegetables, chicken, or rice that hadn't been drenched and thus lost, but only found a few. The chicken, incidentally, was cooked for so long it had the texture of hay. It was by far the worst meal we had on our cross-country trip.
I don't intend to be gratuitously mean with this review; it was not one I wanted to write. And I can't even say that you should do anything different, because clearly your food is loved by the locals you serve and that's what matters. I just have to put my two cents in for the benefit of anyone who is perusing these reviews and considering coming, to weigh against the rest of them.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Sep 30, 2021
We were on our way back from the Grand Canyon and decided to stop here for lunch. Who doesn't love chicken and whats great about this establishment is the variety of sauces it is cooked. From Teriyaki to Orange to Jerk, theres something for everyone. My Canadian friend and I were treated with kindness by the owner (shout out to him if you remember the Canadian guy from Manitoba and Asian girl, lol).
Jerk Chicken - This may be the first time I've had jerk chicken and it was good. It wasn't spicy and the teriyaki glaze balanced out the dish. The roasted veggies were great.
G.B.P fries - fries are my kryptonite and these were BOMB. The main dish was good but this was amazing. I'd definitely come back for these bad boys.
Overall, service was superb and the portions were huge. Highly recommend.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 51414093220Sep 4, 2020
I hate to do this to such a pleasant young man from Jamaica, however, this is average at Best!
This is nothing more than deep fried chicken nuggets over plain white rice and some teriyaki sauce poured over top! I had to go with the Katsu Teriyaki as promoted by the young man as one of their top sellers. Fried little nuggets that are then tossed in sauce served over plain white rice?? The Orange Chicken, well it's practically inedible! The orange sauce that's literally drowning these frozen nuggets of chicken is so strong, there's literally no way to eat it!
If not for the promise of potentially a great jerk chicken dish, and such a nice young guy doing his thing, I would strongly suggest not even wasting your time.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0
