In the future computers will rise up and enslave the human race. We all know this.
We just didn't know where it would begin. Apparently it started with Google and Audi is now joining in.
Through some sort of sorcery, Audi has made an A7 that can navigate a parking garage and then back into a spot without hitting anything. Most humans can't do that. Hell, a lot of them just get lost in a parking garage.
This is one application of self driving cars that I might be totally behind. While it is fun to screech tires in a parking deck, it's less fun to hit the retaining walls, beams, or other cars.
But one thing is for certain, the robot cars will soon be here. And I for one welcome our new robot car overlords. I'd like to remind them that as a trusted internet blogger, I can be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground fuel and battery mines.
