Buki Brand: Discover Seattle’s Wardrobe Revolution

It’s rare that fashion and technology intersect. When they do, it’s usually in the form of a smart watch, bracelet, ring, or handbag. Usually, some form of tech is inserted into an accessory to track steps, charge your phone, or send you notifications. Rarely, is the clothing or accessory actually a form of technology itself. For Buki Brand, their clothing is the technology.

Joey Rodolfo, a seasoned design expert for Seattle brands like Tommy Bahama and Cutter & Buck, saw the gap between fashion and textile technology. With men and women spending money on their clothes, money on dry cleaning, time ironing and steaming only to have their clothing wilt and lose life

Joey asked himself, “Why should we work for our wardrobe, when it is supposed to work for us?”

With that thought, Buki was born.

Now Buki Brand won’t notify you when your Instagram photo is liked or or charge you iPhone, but it will do you one better – provide state-of-the-art thermoregulation, epic moisture-management, dynamic stretch & recovery, and plenty of style. How you might ask? The clothing from Buki Brand uses Kinoki-3.0 fiber technology, a speciality Japanese fiber, that Joey created himself.

These highly technical fibers make up the clothing to adjust to body temperature, wick away moisture without harboring odor, and wait for it…it never wrinkles!

Possibly the best part about Buki Brand is the range of products they provide from professional blouses, to stylish sweatpants, pullovers, and drape coats. Their collection of clothing is meant to serve every aspect of your life from giving a presentation at work in a button up blouse to maintaining a comfortable temperature in sweatpants on a plane ride.

I chose Buki’s crossed, deep-v light blue blouse. This is a top that fits so easily into my wardrobe – professional with trousers at work or trendy with a star printed scar on the weekend. The fabric is lightweight and doesn’t feel restrictive or rigid like other cotton blouses. Like I mentioned, this blouse needs no special treatment whatsoever.

Fold it in a suitcase or throw it in the laundry and it will look perfect. For me, that is the major selling point – I don’t have to put any extra time or effort into caring for this blouse and withstands it’s perfection.

Plus, on a day at work I have to lead a meeting or give a presentation, I don’t have to worry about any perspiration affecting the appearance or fragrance of the blouse. You know that’s important!

Buki Brand

I love the technology and value behind Buki’s products. The Buki team and Joey Rodolfo are so passionate about providing men and women stylish clothing that is made for you to live life in regardless of irons, dry cleaners, and internal temperature fluctuations. Buki Brand’s clothing is made to last a lifetime and adjust to yours.

So ask yourself, are you working for your clothing or is your clothing working for you?
