Kogan Page titles win first prize in the Independent Press Awards

8th May 2018

Kogan Page is delighted to have had two books awarded first prize in their categories at the 2018 Independent Press Awards.

Unlocking Happiness at Work has won in the Business-Motivational category and The Power of Company Culture has won in the Business-General category.

The Independent Press Awards competition is judged by experts from all aspects of the book industry, including publishers, writers, editors, book cover designers and professional copywriters. They select award Winners and Distinguished Favourites based on overall excellence.

In Unlocking Happiness at Work, first time author Jennifer Moss takes you on a journey into why and how leaders should become compassionate capitalists and ensure that their teams thrive. The book explores the science behind happiness and teaches how to maximise it in your workplace for higher performance.

The Power of Company Culture, by Chris Dyer, debunks the myth that a remarkable company culture is something that a business either has or hasn't and shows how any company of any size can implement and maintain a world-class culture for business success.

Awards sponsor, Gabrielle Olczak said, "In 2018, we had impressive worldwide participation. Cities such as London to Moscow to San Francisco, and many countries such as Australia, Canada, India and Japan, and across the globe had books submitted. We are delighted to announce the winners and distinguished favorites in our annual Independent Press Awards. Independent publishing is very much alive and continues to flourish worldwide."

Helen Kogan, Managing Director, Kogan Page said “We are thrilled to have had two titles win at the Independent Press Awards. It is fantastic to have so many of our business books being recognized, especially as we finish celebrating our 50th year in independent publishing.”
