Our Main Sponsorship & Special Guest: Canon Canada Inc.

By making a generous donation to SFU, the company established the Canon Canada Photography Prize to ensure that outstanding students have the opportunity to be recognized for their photography work in the Faculty of Communication, Art and Technology (FCAT). Each year, the top student portfolios from the Photo-based Practices course in the School for the Contemporary Arts (SCA) and the Digital Photography course in the School of Interactive Arts and Technology (SIAT) are recognized with two annual prizes. These consist of Canon’s leading photography equipment including Canon EOS 5D Mark III cameras.

In addition to this generous gift, Canon Canada Inc. became the first inaugural sponsor of FCAT’s annual Undergraduate Conference in March of 2015, and continued their support at 2016 and 2017 events.

We are pleased to share the impact of this exceptional support by presenting the awards to the winning recipients at the Opening Ceremony of the conference.

Please RSVP for the event as soon as possible.

*Be among the first 200 people to RSVP to receive a FREE Charger (For phones/Ipads) and other great prizes at the door!

About the conference: www.sfu.ca/fcat/ugc

During this exciting event, students will have the opportunity to share their essays, performances, films, art pieces, and projects with fellow FCAT students, faculty and staff, while celebrating the diversity of our programs. This year's conference theme is Space.

The conference consists of a series of 20-minute student-presentations. Approximately fifteen presentations (excluding installations and displays) occur concurrently in any given time-slot throughout the afternoon. There are 49 presentations in total. Attendees (professors, students, and community members) may choose to attend approximately 4 presentations (excluding installations/displays which are observed during break), following which, there is a reception at The Lamplighter Public House for both presenters and SFU attendees.

We hope to see you there!
