West Ham have made a bid for Celtic striker Moussa Dembele, according to reports in his native France.

The 21-year-old bagged 32 goals in 48 games for the Bhoys since making the move from Fulham a year ago, and now he could be set to return to London.

The Hammers have already broken their record transfer fee once this summer with the £23m capture of Marko Arnautovic, and look set to do so again as they close in on Portuguese midfielder William Carvalho.

Now Le 10 Sport claim that the Hammers have bid for Dembele as they continue to add to their firepower for the new season.

West Ham still face competition for Dembele's signature, with Chelsea and Arsenal also linked with a move for the striker. Monaco are also said to be interested in the Celtic man as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe who could be headed to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Hammers have already added Javier Hernandez this summer but after a disappointing opening game against Manchester United, are eager to bring in some more new faces to east London.
