Nintendo America Details DLC Coming To Fire Emblem Warriors

Fire Emblem Warriors, launching for the Nintendo Switch and New Nintendo 3DS family of systems on Oct. 20, is a game overflowing with action-packed content. But fans who want to expand their adventure can do so with a host of paid DLC options that begin launching this year. All DLC can be purchased separately for both Nintendo Switch and New Nintendo 3DS systems.

  • Season Pass (Oct. 20, $19.99): The Fire Emblem Warriors Season Pass includes all three DLC packs, which become available as they release. Each DLC pack is filled with new playable characters and weapons. By purchasing the Season Pass for either the Nintendo Switch or New Nintendo 3DS version, players will receive a bridal costume for Lucina.
  • DLC Pack #1 (Dec 2017, $8.99): The content in this pack is inspired by Fire Emblem Fates.
  • DLC Pack #2 (Feb 2018, $8.99): Many of the characters and items in this DLC pack hail from Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon.
  • DLC Pack #3 (March 2018, $8.99): Fans of Fire Emblem Awakening will love this DLC, as much of the content is themed after the classic game.

More details about each DLC pack will be revealed in the future.

The Fire Emblem Warriors game is compatible with the new Chrom and Tiki amiibo figures, which both launch on Oct. 20. These, along with other compatible Fire Emblem amiibo figures including Marth, Ike, Robin and Lucina, grant players weapons or materials when tapped. Up to five different compatible amiibo figures can be tapped per day.

Fire Emblem Warriors launches for Nintendo Switch, as well as New Nintendo 3DS, New Nintendo 3DS XL and New Nintendo 2DS XL systems on Oct. 20. A special-edition bundle of the game will launch exclusively for the Nintendo Switch system on the same day at a suggested retail price of $79.99. The special edition includes the game, premium character card set with slip case, a double-sided poster and a three-CD music set.

  1. I beginning to miss the days when FE was just a niche game in the west, you know when the devs were actually making good FE games.
I’ve been wanting to say this for a while now to Japanese companies, I’m sick of this “we must make our games more appealing to the western audience” crap, if I wanted a westernized game I would play an actual western game and not some dumbed down trash made for casual retards! Importing japanese games was the only way to get certain games back then, but once they began localizing their games, like rpgs, that’s when japanese style games began to become popular in the west, that is until some d!ickheads in upper management thought it was a good idea to make their games more western because they thought the western audience wanted it because they are western, which totally ignored the reasons why Japanese games did so well in the west to begin with.
The western audience wanted something different than another damn western experience, Japanese games used to provide that experience until they began making their games almost the same as western games, now no one wants any of this SH!T!

    1. If you don’t like the “Warrior” games then don’t play them. Just like I don’t call Hyrule Warriors part of the actually Zelda series, I will not call this part of the FE series. But I’m sure it’ll be just as fun or more. I’m not trying to be rude to you or anything. Just saying.

      1. When I was speaking about Japan appealing to the west I didn’t just mean the FE series, I’m talking about all Japanese companies pulling this shit now. I only gave FE as an example pretty much, as a matter of fact that second long part of my argument isn’t referring to FE Warriors at all really.
I’ve just been noticing more and more of once heavily influenced Japanese franchises being westernized and dumbed down to make them easier for casuals, I mean look at every fighting game and compare them to fighting games from the ps2 and dreamcast era, there is no damn challenge to learning how to play compared to fighting games like MVC2, Melty Blood Actress again or even the older 2d KOF 96-02, I mean even that last KOF game f’ed everything up by turning the combat into simple button mashing and don’t get me started on SF, GG and BB.
The biggest offender is FF15 and that simple ass combat system for babies, that series went from planning out your skills, equipment and team to a lame ass story about a reject boring boy band and some other nonsense I couldn’t care less about, I mean FFS how do they go from FFVI the best FF game and best story out of the franchise to a goddamn story about a boy band?!
My point is Japanese devs need to stop to implementing western crap into their games and just go back to making the weird sh!t that made us want to import their games to begin with.
If I wanted to play western games I would have bought a dumbass xbox one where all the trigger happy fps retard fanboy xbots swear on their mics while playing games that literally cause mass grey matter in the brain that causes stupidity to occur, like fps and cover based shooters.

    2. No one wants it? They changed the formula and it increased sales. Their mobile title is apparently now going to dictate development for main titles.

It’s not going back to the good old days anytime soon or ever possibly. It’s all about the money.

    3. I’ll never understand how people like you can say “The old games were better and the new ones are crap”.
Okay buddy, if the newer games are the big pieces of garbage you paint them to be, explain to me why have generated way more money? Explain to me why have become more accessible? And explain to me why the fanbase now is way bigger than it’s ever been. Your comment about “casual retards” is exactly what I’d expect from a old-time elitist like you, speaking like that doesn’t make you look good, all it does it make you look like an opinionated jerk.
I’m all for the opinions that the older games are better, if you prefer the older games then fine, go play them, but if they are the great amazing level of quality that you people make them out to be, why did they not sell as well? Seems to me the older games lacked in accessibility and only appealed to a certain demographic which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but only when said demographic is massive and considering Intelligent Systems and Nintendo had to review and change the base formula of the Fire Emblem Fanchise, it’s obvious your system just wasn’t good enough.

    4. Right, and I’m saying if you don’t like those games then don’t play them. If you’re so passionate about this topic then you should contact the developers/companies. I think it’s awesome that you care so much and you should express your opinion where it has a chance of being recognized . ^^ Good luck!

  2. $20 isn’t bad for 3 packs of new characters and weapons. I’m looking forward to the Awakening pack the most. That game has the best characters in the series in my opinion.

    1. While we all have our own tastes and preferences, I’m wondering if you’ve played path of radiance by any chance? I used to love awakening as a whole but it actually feels underwhelming to play now that I’ve played path of radiance since the story of that game I REALLY liked!

      1. Yes, I’ve played them all except for Shadow Dragon haha (I’m only counting the games released in the US). I’m not a big fan of Path of Radiance or Radiant Dawn to be honest. Never have been. I actually returned to them earlier this year to give it another chance, but nothing has changed. I know Ike is a fan favorite, but he’s never been a favorite of mine lol. But like you said, it’s just different tastes.

  3. Considering I only care for Awakening since it’s the last title I played, I won’t be needing the pass.

Too bad there’s no 3DS special edition, but it’s expected as it looks like crap.

  4. King Kalas X3 {I only buy exclusives that interest me on Switch. For everything else that interests me, there is PS4.}

Like I said, the bride costume for Lucina should have been an unlockable in the game, not a bonus for getting the season pass. As for the DLC packs, really? How about some love for the games that aren’t represented in the game? Least now we know where most of the Shadow Dragon characters are at: paid DLC. :/ Wait. Is Tharja a character in the DLC!? D:<
