Neda Agha Soltan (1982 – June 20, 2009 in Tehran) was an Iranian woman whose killing by Basij militia during the 2009 Iranianian election protests was captured on video by bystanders.  Neda means "voice" in Persian, and she was dubbed the "voice of Iran" by some opposition groups.
