On 7th October Steve Ford (Chief Executive, ParkinsonsUK) joined some of us online in Herefordshire so we could try to explain how we felt coronavirus and the restrictions were impinging on our members and discussed what we could all do to help each other partiularly when self-isolating.

This website is to help you get connected online and provide resources to keep us healthy whilst socially isolated due to coronavirus - email dr.frith@gmail.com or phone my home 01432850330 or mobile 07876237377 or contact any of us if you need to talk or wish specific support or help.

Links to our own regular branch activities are posted below and Parkinson's UK also now have live exercise classes available. You will find the Parkinson's UK exercise schedule if you scroll down on the Parkinson’s UK community Facebook group. .

British Nordic Walking home exercises are at the bottom of this page.

We are discussing with ParkinsonsUK how to safely restart our face to face activities.. Please let me know on 07876237377 if you have any particular problem that you would like us to help or just want to talk to someone..

l personally hope we can develop more resources for those who wish to protect themselves, are nervous about going out just yet or simply find online more convenient.

Take care. Keep active.

Are you feeling anxious?

It’s natural that many of us feel anxious, worried or low right now. The increased pressures of coronavirus have impacted people affected by Parkinson’s - including if you’re a carer, family member, or friend of someone living with the condition. The Parkinson’s UK website has Parkinson's and mental health resources - for example there is a guided audio mindfulness and wellbeing session, which anyone can use, whether you have Parkinson’s or not - and a range of resources on page: https://www.parkinsons.org.uk/information-and-support/parkinsons-and-mental-health

these are specifically designed for people with Parkinson's.

Alternatively simply give one of our volunteers a ring for a confidential chat (Contact tab at very top of this page)
