Do you know a student who has excelled or overcome a massive personal hurdle to achieve at school?

Or a teacher or other school member of staff who always goes above and beyond to support pupils to ensure they achieve the best they can?

The Lincolnshire Media Golden Apples Education Awards will celebrate the success of our students and teachers from across primary and secondary schools within the county.

The Golden Apples awards, now in its fifth year, is sponsored by Lincolnshire County Council.

Councillor Patricia Bradwell, deputy leader and executive councillor for children's services, said: "These awards are a fitting way to recognise and reward the excellence of our children and young people in the county, not only in the classroom, but in voluntary work in their community, sports activities or making a difference to their environment. Many of them are an important inspiration to others in their schools through their support and leadership."

Debbie Barnes, director of children's services, said: "We have some of the best schools in the country, reflected every year through exam results and other successes - the education awards highlight some exceptional talent from our schools.

It's also an opportunity to celebrate the valuable role of teachers and school staff who do so much to ensure children achieve their potential."

Other sponsors also getting involved include Bishop Grosseteste University who are supporting both the Primary and Secondary School Student of the Year categories and The University of Lincoln is sponsoring the STEM Award which is open to all students aged under 18.
