MxV Rail Welcomes Industry Leaders and Experts to this Highly Anticipated Event

March 20, 2023, Pueblo, CO – The Association of American Railroads (AAR) and MxV Rail are proud to host the 28th Annual AAR Research Review in Pueblo, CO, June 26-28, 2023. This highly anticipated event will bring together MxV Rail experts, leaders from the Class I and short line railroads, university students, and suppliers from around the world.

MxV Rail is preparing for nearly 500 attendees over the course of three days. The 2023 event includes traditional technical sessions, track walk displays, and in-person tours of MxV Rail’s new multi-campus research facilities. The annual event also allows early career railroaders and university students to interact with industry participants and MxV Rail researchers via the Early Career Railroader Workshop and University Days.

In conjunction with the Research Review, MxV Rail is also hosting an Early Career Railroader Research Workshop and University Day program catered specifically to new rail professionals. The workshop will deliver an overview of the industry’s diverse research topics as well as encourage attendees to establish a professional peer-network of stakeholders in railway research, with an emphasis placed on early-career railroad professionals.

In an effort to create more continuity between university and industry research, “University Days,” an event sponsored by MxV Rail and AAR, will also coincide with the Research Review. University Days provides university researchers, graduate students, and undergraduates the opportunity to explore careers and go behind the scenes in railway research. The annual event also showcases the latest developments in rail technology, introduces mentors and friends, and invites researchers to network within the industry.

The industry’s support for long-term research and innovation has never been stronger. Join us at this unique event to see how the grand challenges of rail and breakthroughs in technology are unfolding, and how together we will take the rail industry’s safety, efficiency, reliability, and sustainability to new heights.
