The Walking Dead Season 7 Sneak Peek: Has Dwight Taken Daryl’s Life?

It isn’t hard to imagine The Walking Dead’s Daryl saying that the only way nemesis Dwight would ever take a spin on his motorcycle would be over his dead body. But is that dire turn of events actually what led to the improbable scene that plays out in this sneak peek at Season 7 of the AMC drama?
Norman Reedus, who plays the beloved biker, has thus far offered no reassurances on social media that his character is safe. And all he would disclose to TVLine was that the premiere (Sunday, Oct. 23, at 9/8c) is “mind-blowing.”
During Sunday’s Season 7 preview special, a message from executive producer Scott M. Gimple teased that “what happens in Episode 1 will shatter the lives of those who survive.” But will it also shatter Daryl fans?
In the clip above, new series regular Austin Amelio’s Savior is seen not only riding the fan favorite’s hog but sporting his leather vest as well. Which certainly doesn’t bode well for Reedus’ alter ego.

For someone who says they don’t want to spoil you sure are doing an awful lot of talking. Just saying.
There is no way the producers of TWD would release this if Daryl is dead.
It’s highly possible that Negan took Daryl’s stuff and gave it to Dwight as a way of humiliating him. Dwight could have told Negan quite a lot about Daryl and I wouldn’t be surprised if Negan takes quite an interest in breaking him down.
We all know that our group is under Negan’s control, for now anyway, and they want half our sh*t, so that’s Dwight’s half, LMAO!!! I think Norman has actually spoiled the fact that he is NOT dead with certain pictures he has posted on his twitter and Instagram accounts. He tends to do that every season.
No, he has not spoiled anything on his accounts. He is not allowed to do that. He’s only posted old pic or new pics from road trips or Cons.
Of course he’s not allowed to do it but he unintentionally posts to much sometimes. There has been at least one photo of himself, Andrew and JDM that was spoilery IMO which I am allowed to have, thank you and have a great day!!
Didn’t the video of the prank he did on Andrew Lincoln (the AC glitter bomb) pretty much confirm Daryl’s alive on the show? No reason for Norman Reedus to be on set still if Daryl bought it, just saying…
Pretty much. I mean one could argue that they are all friends so he’s still hanging around w/them but yeah, read between the lines and you have your answer :-)
So Daryl has had two motorcycles? The one from the beginning, which looks like the one in the clip and the rusty-yellow one that he pieced together from scavenged parts, which looks like the one in the still. Can’t remember which one we last saw him on, going after Carol.
He wasn’t going after Carol. He was going after Dwight for killing Denise. He didn’t even know Carol was gone.
first thing: that aint daryl´s bike, his bike is much different (watch the series)
second thing : it ain´t the first time dwight takes daryl´s stuff (crossbow…again watch the series)
Conclusion : Dwight has a grunge with Daryl and very much wants to be him, thus he takes and uses whatever he can from his foe.
Why does this show insist that Daryl must live? He’s been useless for the past three seasons…

Daryl’s dead. He made it personal with Neegan and he’s no longer in the comic book. Dwight is his replacement.

I could be wrong, but Daryl was never in the comic books. The character was created for the show.

Also, he made it personal with Dwight, not Negan.
Did you see the post Norman reedus put in his instagram by mistake?the blood was on Darryl’s right hemisphere,it means the victim is either glenn or Rosita,if Darryl was the one,the blood should have been all over his face
Darryl was shot in the right shoulder, so regardless of who the victim is, and assuming the saviors did not clean his wound, there should still be blood on his right side.
That pic was from the S6 finale, filmed in November. They hadn’t filmed the death at that point. They filmed the death the following May. The blood on Daryl was from being shot by Dwight in the finale. The Lucille victim is not Rosita or Glenn either.
He was shot in the 15th episode, not the finale.
Preview is much like the season will be… *yawn*
I don’t think Darryl dies because the show might be making it too obvious that it’s him.So i think it’ll be Glenn who dies because since the show already tricked us once with him the show might think no will be expecting Glenn to be the one to die.
The show is clearly releasing this promo to get people thinking Daryl is dead, when in reality Dwight probably just snatched Daryl’s vest seeing as how the Saviors “own” Rick’s group now. I don’t see why the writers are so against killing a semi-useless character, but they would never kill Daryl at this point, and certainly not parade it around like this. The phrase “any character is fair game” hasn’t been true for this show since season 3.

If they killed Daryl, Glenn, or Maggie I’m done with it. At that point it becomes a serial car wreck devoid of hope where the only “suspense” is seeing who will be road kill next. If you have no hope for the core group, then what’s the point?
No offense, but this article is preposterous. A walker was wearing Daryl’s vest in the S6 finale and Dwight took Daryl’s bike (and crossbow) once before. Daryl does not have to die for Dwight to take his things. Dwight is a Discount Daryl wannabe.
I know Daryl’s fate and without spoiling, I can confidently state that this article is not based on any real facts and is completely off base. You’ll see.
Oh, and you really think after doing that cliffhanger they’re going to give everything away in a preview clip? Yeah, right. LOL

It will be so satisfying when Darryl puts the hurt on Dwight. I predict it will be one of the most epic moments of the series.
If you look at that bike…it’s not Daryl’s…compare them and you will see the difference..plus Norman has been filming and hanging all around Georgia…
I’m a new viewer to TWD and am not a horror/zombie fan. What did catch and hold my attention was, incredibly, a hillbily, redneck, biker-punk character portrayed by the very talented (and easy on the eyes) Norman Reedus. He has managed to corral a lot of fans with his portrayal of the loveable Daryl Dixon.
I bought seasons 1-5 on DVD and have binged up to S4. By October, I should be caught up and ready for the permiere of S7.
I can tell you that I will easily abandon this show if Reedus’ character is killed off and happily wait to see where he lands on a new show. I’ve invested money (DVD sets) and time and enjoy the show becasue of Norman Reedus. AMC would be wise to clearly comprehend this simple fact.

I believe that Daryl is still alive due to a clip titled “Negan’s way”. It looks like Daryl in the background at about .11 or earlier in the clip… In addition another clip (about Negan’s reaction when Rick tells him he’s going to kill him) appears to show some gore from a beating/killing and it appears to have been someone on Rick’s rather immediate right – Maggie and/or Abe. If there’s a 2nd killing, in this same clip Negan refers to Rick’s ‘right hand man’ and Rick’s expression indicates to Negan that he took out Rick’s ‘right hand man’. Since Daryl appears to be alive that would have to say Glen because I don’t think Rick considers anyone else there as his ‘right hand man’ (except possibly for Michonne?). So at any rate, this clip very much makes it appear that the gore is on Rick’s right side, real close which leads me to Abe and/or Maggie at least. Oh just had a scary thought, what if he takes out *two* of the women?
