Katarzyna Szczepanska

CAD Technician, KTL Group
“I find people are friendly and helpful”.

Tell us about yourself?

My full name is Katarzyna - everyone calls me Kasia, in Polish, this is a popular short version of my name. I am originally from Poland, a small town near Wroclaw. It is the southwestern part of the country. I graduated in 2000 from the Technical College of Railways – it is a research institute located in Wroclaw, Poland. This is where I specialised in Telecommunications.  I came to Scotland nearly eight years ago and I’m based in Glasgow.

What does your role involve?

I joined KTL in January this year. The role was recommended to me by a friend. My position is CAD Technician and on daily basis, I am doing ICNIRP checks.

How would you describe the KTL culture?

Since I joined, I find people are friendly and helpful. We had a team meeting in Glasgow recently and it was wonderful to meet people face-to-face.

Where do you see yourself in the future?

There is a lot of opportunity for personal development at KTL, this is reassuring. I would love to further my skills in design. I am willing to develop my knowledge and skills in AutoCAD or any other tools that will help with designing projects.
