An off-duty St. Petersburg police officer was arrested and charged with driving under the influence on Sunday.

Jenna Price, 26, was arrested shortly before 4 a.m. after a deputy was called to the intersection of 54th Avenue N and 66th Street to investigate a car that was stopped at a red light.

Officials said the car had remained stopped at the light through a few cycles. The deputy who investigated found Price passed out inside the car, officials said.

Price refused field sobriety tests, but investigators said her blood alcohol content was reported at between 0.185 and 0.173.

She was booked into the Pinellas County Jail and released on her own recognizance on Sunday.

Price has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal affairs investigation.  She has been an officer with the department since 2007 and is currently assigned to the county's Violent Crimes Task Force.
