Santosh Shah, who was born and raised in a village in Nepal called Karjanha, Siraha, has been a chef for 20 years.The keen chef says: “Cooking is my passion and I want to take Nepalese cuisine to the world map of gastronomy one day.”
Santosh finally reached the finals of the competition winning the hearts of the British public along the way.
For the final they had to create a three course menu. And unfortunately Santosh’s meal (buffalo) although delicious was deemed to be a bit on the tough side and too strong a flavour.
So although he didn’t win the prize, he was so loved by the professionals and viewers that he was named the ‘people’s champion’!!!
