From photographer’s notes - “These are some of my earliest efforts. We hear so much about the Santa Monica Air Line which only made one round trip a day carrying roughly fifty people. But the Venice Short Line carried thousands a day each way to Venice, Ocean Park and Santa Monica.
The pictures of the old Ocean Park Car House and yard are kind of interesting because after they were torn down MCL built a new Bus Division. After the first LAMTA took over it became Div. 6. That new division was closed in December of 2015. So we have gone full circle. This line was abandoned on September 17, 1950.”
