But not on this new Channel 4 programme.
Forget Seven Year Switch UK and Naked Attraction, a four-part reality series is on its way, and it'll see couples make their own sex tapes for our entertainment.
The groundbreaking "social experiment" will feature three couples in each episode who are in desperate need of some relationship guidance.
Warring mates will have cameras placed around their homes Big Brother style to capture every moment of their explosive unions, including arguments and saucy bedroom activities.
In each episode, the couple will sit down with a sex therapist and try out a "new therapy" to get their romance back on track.
They'll then reveal their X-rated tapes to each other to see if it's possible to gain a new perspective on their relationship.
Sex Tape has no official release date yet but is expected to air later this year.
Channel 4 factual entertainment commissioning editor Becky Cadman said of the raunchy series: "Sex Tape promises a unique fly-on-the-wall look at relationships as they really happen including the good, the bad and the ugly.
"It's an innovative new format that will hopefully help people recapture the romance in their relationship."
Meanwhile, executive producer Gary Chippington was just as thrilled about the new venture.
He said: "Sex Tape promises to be a perceptive, revealing and surprising social experiment offering a fascinating insight into intimacy."
Channel 4 are known for pushing the boundaries with their programmes.
When Naked Attraction debuted in 2016, it received a flood of complaints for its brazen full-frontal nudity.
However, the popular nude dating game show – which is fronted by Anna Richardson – is currently recruiting for its third series and US model Chrissy Teigen is a huge fan.
