Youth Service, Inc. is a non-profit child welfare agency that has provided  immediate shelter and  support services  to Philadelphia’s children and families for  over 67  years. The organization operates the only Crisis Nursery program in Philadelphia and runs the largest shelter in the area for homeless and runaway teens.

The Advocacy Institute is a premier youth empowerment program, an initiative of Health Promotion Council, with a mission to empower the youth of Philadelphia to make sustainable community changes through policy, community, and social media advocacy. Participants gain not only knowledge but opportunities to network and build their leadership skills.

The Office of Youth Engagement knows that young people have important ideas about how to make the City a better place to live.  They support the efforts of the Philadelphia Youth Commission and the Millennial Advisory Committee. These groups provide an opportinity for young people to: develop leadership skills; bridge gaps between generations; and suggest ways for City government to better serve our residents.
