Virginia Basketball is still undefeated as they look to avenge their early exit last March. Here’s a look at three keys to victory against Clemson.

Virginia Basketball is 14-0 and 2-0 in ACC play as they travel on the road to face the Clemson Tigers on Saturday afternoon. Clemson is a team desperate for a conference victory and is 0-2 through two games of conference play as they search for their first ACC victory. They’ll have their hands full with Virginia this Saturday, that’s for sure.

The emergence of 6-foot-7 wing De’Andre Hunter has the Cavaliers playing at a different level on both ends. Hunter put up 18 points and six rebounds on 6-of-11 shooting in Virginia’s 83-56 victory over the Boston College Golden Eagles on Wednesday night. Junior forward Mamadi Diakite also put up a season-high 18 points and seven rebounds in the victory in his fifth consecutive start.

Hunter is averaging 14.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game on 43.3 percent from behind the arc this season. Diakite is averaging 9.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game and shooting 64.2 percent from the field through eight starts this year.

The Cavaliers frontcourt production paired with their backcourt of Kyle Guy and Ty Jerome has made them virtually unstoppable in the early stages of the 2018-19 season. Things were easy for them against Boston College on the road, but that should change against Clemson, a scrappy team that will do everything they can to get a victory. Here’s a look at three keys to victory for the Virginia Cavaliers against Clemson.
